Pilgrimages run by the College
Message from the Dean
At last, the news emanating from the Land of the Holy One is more optimistic. While everlasting peace may be some way off, the situation in much of Israel and Palestine has improved significantly, at least for those who travel here. After a long period where it has not been possible to come to the College on pilgrimage, I now feel able to invite people to begin to plan for and book their study pilgrimage at the College.
We invite our valued friends and supporters, to begin to think about this in concrete terms as soon as possible. Our schedules for 2026 and 2027 are now published and please give these your prayerful consideration.
Pilgrimage will be different after this terrible war. There will be a stronger element of solidarity than previously and the encounter with the peoples of the land will be more central than before, although that has always been important to St George’s College. The most helpful thing that those who love and care for the people of Land of the Holy One can do now is to consider their travel plans for the next year or two.
And let us continue to pray that positive steps forward can develop from those already taken. We seek and follow the lead of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
